Yes, Dennis, the world must be spinning backwards. Or, this upcoming full moon has put me over the edge. Because it is IMPOSSIBLE that I’m on a plane again, 2 days after returning from San Francisco, this time heading to VEGAS. The place I SWORE I would never go to again unless it was for Jewelz (my niece) wedding.

Once again I am learning to “never say never”.

But I AM in Vegas with Jewelz, her brother and his wife, her mom, and my brother-in-law. Talk about a roudy (and LOUD) crew! My goal this weekend is to be captured in a JOYOUS picture like this!

Because my main goal, in my new life, is JOY. And to find “first experiences”. So when I get an invitation to do something or go somewhere, my answer is WHY NOT? Life is shorter than I ever truly realized until 8 months ago.

I am so grateful that Robb, Anabel, and Bugg will enjoy my home over the weekend. Mr Muggins will be a little confused, but happy. And that is all I want for him.

I’m also thrilled that this weekend will be my last trip for several weeks. I have been focusing on my home and the backyard is ready for FRIENDS! And now with the heat, tempered by the upcoming dramatic monsoons, I want to stay home and share my sanctuary. Kristen and Holli (my nieces from IL) are coming in mid-July, and I hope to have more visitors, both local and distant. I know it’s different at The DnD BnB without our Cabana Man, but Dennis would NOT want us to stop enjoying our life. Of this I am absolutely certain.

So I invite you to take some time this weekend to pause and focus on what is going RIGHT in your world. Turn off the news and turn towards a friend. Pick up the phone and tell someone you love them. Take a deep breath and feel the miracle of life. Enjoy and maybe even dance to your favorite music. And by all means find SOMETHING to laugh about.
