I think some of us can agree that home IS where it’s at.
I left Maui on Wednesday night at 10:30pm on American Airlines and was so happy to have my own row of 3 seats! I was hoping to get upgraded but this was the next best thing. We landed in Phoenix at 6:30am, which was 30 minutes early (5-hour flight time). I had time to get some good steps in at the airport before the 21-minute puddle jumper to Tucson. I was back at my home just a few minutes before 10am. AAHHHHH ….
And the best part …. Joe was here. He didn’t sleep well last night either so we had a nappy and relaxing day and then our favorite meal out.

My trip to Maui feels like a dream …. like I just fantasized the entire trip. It all came about so fast. Most travel, at least for me, takes much more premeditation and preparation. This one was unique and felt exciting to just DO.
I’m not sure I will ever choose to return to the islands. The prices and the traffic were an eye opener. I know the world is changing and most places are busier and more expensive than ever. The question then becomes …. Is that reality something I want to deal with now? I am the first to admit that I AM SPOILED.
I have said it before … I am quite the yoyo when it comes to traveling these days. Maybe I just need a little time at home to regroup. I’m grateful that the choice is completely mine, and ESPECIALLY grateful for all the travel experiences I had back in the day with Dennis. Nothing stays the same.
A big motivation to continue traveling is writing this blog. I DO LOVE photography and writing. But truly, I could take photos and write about ANYTHING. So, stay open, Diana!
In the meantime, let’s all …
