There’s No Place Like Home

… because it truly is the little things that make life so comforting. Things like ~

Coming back into our home and finding Mr. Muggins healthy and content (thank you, Amanda)

Looking in the yard and seeing that everything is OK. This trip we had an issue with the hose bursting out of the lime tree and spraying water everywhere, but with a little TLC and constant water, it is recovering.

Dropping our luggage onto the garage floor and knowing that we REALLY don’t need to deal with it until the next day

Coming out of the pool and feeling chilly as the ultra dry air tickles our body as it dries in minutes

Taking a shower in the backyard and feeling grateful that WE ARE HOME

Brushing our teeth with tap water and knowing we could drink the water

Sleeping in our very own comfy bed

Checking our bank and confirming that we were not compromised while in a foreign country

Shopping at stores filled with plentiful, high quality items at low prices

Taking vitamins that are not mushy from the humidity

Being back to carpeting where we can lie down anywhere and do a little yoga

Talking to Alexa and listening to something different than Mexican music!

Easily doing the laundry and hanging the damp clothes in the bathroom to dry. With the door closed, we can create an environment of our own humidity!

Eating our regular diet again and feeling the body easily come back to its natural balance

Feeling the heat of the desert on our skin. Yes, the humidity was very good for us, but WE BELONG in ARIZONA!

THERE TRULY IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME.

Once we get a little settled, we’ll share more stories.

Click your heels, Dorothy 🙂 I was getting concerned not reading a post from you two in a while, so I am glad to hear you are home safe and sound. All my love to my favorite adventurers!

So sweet that you were concerned about us. Marty was also worried because didn’t produce any blog posts after the Tulum Ruins. We should have informed our loyal readers that we were taking a few days off to enjoy time with family at the all inclusive resort in Riviera Maya
