Timing is EVERYTHING

Just a little over 2 months after we flew to China ON THIS EXACT SAME FLIGHT out of Seattle to Beijing, this event was publicized ….

FBI: Flight Attendant Broke Wine Bottle over man’s head

Imagine …. with just a small amount of travel time adjustment, we could have BEEN on this flight!  A similar thing happened when we went to Egypt in 2010; we were just a few months short of being there during the Egyptian Revolution.  And let’s not forget the hurricane that we basically flew into last December in Costa Rica.

LIFE HAPPENS.  Not everything goes perfectly.

And I refuse to let it stop me from doing the things I want to do. Actually, if I focused on the hassles of traveling these days, ESPECIALLY going through customs and security, being patient through overly zealous pat-downs, and being affected by all the crazies that COULD be around us, then I’d never travel again.

But as I continuously tell Dennis, no one wants to hear about a perfect trip.  It is the imperfection of experiences that makes life interesting.  Even looking back on our recent bout of Montezuma’s Revenge in the Yucatan gives me pause to consider being more careful with what I eat, or maybe not.   Traveling in a vacuum isn’t any fun either.

Traveling also gives me an opportunity to practice creating my own reality.  Any experience is as good or bad as we believe it will be, and I enjoy practicing the art of manifestation.

Therefore, God willing, we WILL keep traveling until we just don’t want to do it anymore. And I will continue to believe that I will never have to sit next to a REAL turkey …
