Alligators?  Ho hum ….

NOTE:  I’ve added photos to this post, and unfortunately they don’t show in the email notification.  So please visit the  blog directly if you want to see some pics.

Just a quick update as I wing my way home from my spur-of-the-moment, 4 night visit to Florida.  A RELAXING AND MEMORABLE JOURNEY!

Jae and Leslie’s new home

I am so blessed to visit such open, honest, and generous  extended family.  I felt COMPLETELY at home and so appreciate their hospitality.   THANK YOU Jae, Leslie, Dale, Pat, and yes, even Nikko, THE cutest dog!

It took a lot of bribing with treats, but I have no shame

Arrived Friday night and we had dinner at their local Brew House
And on Saturday …. lunch and a drag show at Hamburger Mary’s
I think Aiden had a thrill!
Visited the neighborhood watering hole on the way home from lunch. Jae’s Uncle Dale and his son, Andy
Leslie, Dale, Aiden, and Aunt Pat
Dale and me.  This is Carn’s older brother
Jae, Dale, Andy, and his wife Megan
Oh good Lord …. I complimented the bartender on her glittery eye shadow and next thing I know she put it on me!
The party continued at Dale and Pat’s.  How cool that J&L have their aunt and uncle just a few houses down the street from their new house!
On Sunday, J&L took me to a nature reserve.  SO MANY BIRDS AND ALLIGATORS!
One of the SMALLER ones
This pic does not do him justice, but he was the BIGGEST of them all. We JUST MISSED him eating a soft shelled turtle!
This guy lives right across the street from their HOUSE!
I LOVE J&L’s screened in room, RIGHT ON a canal!  So they set me up and I slept in their “zone” Sunday night.
Beautiful time to visit.  Moderate temperatures, NO BUGS, and a full moon!
I gave myself a treat and booked a Day Pass to the United Club in Houston on my way home.  This was just my FIRST course!

I will post this when I safely arrive in my home tonight. So if you get this, know that I’m safely home.

WHAT A MIRACLE AIR TRAVEL IS. How could I have just spent 4 glorious days in Florida and now I’m home again? I feel very grateful and blessed.

And yes, those who know me, know what comes next ….

THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME.
