It was a beautiful yet early start to our first travel day.

The 3 of us flew back to Athens on Easy Jet, and Lynda and Pete took a high-speed train to Rome for their stand-by connection. It’s great to fly for free (Pete’s son is a pilot) but they have no idea when they’ll get home.
We checked into the Athens Holiday Inn and what a relaxed and pleasurable day it was. I will totally admit that I am weary and ready to go home, and being there *almost* felt like home. The room was clean with a comfy bed, nice bathroom (first washcloth I’ve seen!), a kettle for coffee and tea, and even a nice robe! And super great WiFi.
When we first arrived, we had lunch at the hotel bar/restaurant. The food was really good!

I just chilled all afternoon in bed, watched a Netflix movie on my phone (A Beautiful Life with Christopher. EXCELLENT romance and drama), and took a long hot shower with a washcloth. It’s the little things!
I got a knock on my door early evening and it was Holli bringing me a chicken salad. That was so sweet of them!

I must brag just a little about my nieces …. they have gone above and beyond, making sure I was always safe and taken care of. From grabbing my hand when I needed a little support, taking my luggage, buying me water and wine, to making me laugh A LOT …. (Auntie Lolo, add 3 and go back, ALWAYS $4.50). I’m so grateful for their love, and they made the trip that much nicer.
A completely chilled last day in Athens. It felt good to do NOTHING.

Beautiful views, good food, and great company what more could you ask for! Glad you relax before the trip home. Have safe travels home,
β€οΈ Love,
Dotty

A washcloth? Would never even think I’d need it!
