Timing is everything …. look what I just found in the news this morning.

Yes, Joe did pick me up last night, and by 9pm, I was showered and in bed.  At that point, I had been awake for 24 hours!  It felt SO GOOD to lie flat.

We left the hotel about 10am  and hit the road for home.  I was feeling pretty good and not too jet lagged. We were making great time, so we decided to stop at the Picacho Peak Dairy Queen for a Blizzard.

We were so happy to be together and heading home

We stopped at Safeway in Sahuarita to pick up some basics and WTH …. WHERE IS MY PURSE????  No, no, no!  I traveled for 2 weeks with that purse strapped on me the entire time, and then I leave it at Dairy Queen????? So you’re not jet lagged, huh Diana?

THANK YOU, GOD.  Someone found it, and it is sitting in the DQ safe.   So I am writing this while my understanding and wonderful man is driving me back north an hour to get it.  I tried to drive back myself, but he wouldn’t even consider that option.

He’s reliving his old taxi driving days, and I’m asking for SLIP STREAM.

I got the purse back, and it was completely intact, including my credit card and $250 cash. There ARE good and honest people in this world.

So we drove another hour back to Sahuarita and decided to hell with Safeway, let’s go for Mexican food and Cadillac Margaritas. My man deserves it.

Yep, we’re a little tired ….

And that will be all for today. Because truly …

THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME.

Thank you, God, for all of our blessings and safety.
