5am came around very quickly on Sunday morning. Lynda, Pete, Holli & Kristen had to be up EVEN EARLIER to catch their flights back to Charleston and Chicago. I’m happy to report that they are all safely home, and K&D are in Bali.

Our ferry, The Clipper 5, left Pier 69 (perfect for Joe’s 69th birthday trip!) at 7:30am. It was a 3 hour ride to Victoria, Canada.

It was nice that The Clipper delivered our bags to our hotel, but we had to wait over an hour for our Butchart Gardens bus to arrive. The drive there took about 35 minutes, but our driver was VERY informative and entertaining.

We were pretty tired by the time we returned to our hotel. So we simply walked next door to a patio restaurant where we enjoyed a carb rich dinner, then a shower, and I PASSED OUT.

I think the excitement from the last week finally caught up to me.
