Monday in Victoria

What a wonderful feeling after getting a good night’s sleep!  We both feel rested and ready to explore.

So we set out to explore the area around our hotel.

We’re staying at The Grand Pacific Hotel behind that white building
Love the looks of this hotel down the street, The Pendray. They have kept it very original
Live aboards at Fisherman’s Wharf!!  A bucket list vacation for me
Love this guy’s door
Look!!  This is a rental at Fisherman’s Wharf
We split a salmon croissant and some coffee for breakfast
Ah …. LOVE THE BEACH

We walked all around the perimeter of James Bay and were grateful to take a breather back at our room.

And then it started raining as we were prepping to head out to our #EatOffTheBeatenTrack Walking Food Tour. We bundled up and met the group. Gratefully, the rain was not steady like our monsoons in Arizona. Our tour got pushed back by 30 minutes, which ended up being a blessing …. we only had 5 people in our group!

A Canadian mom with her 2 sons. Our guide’s name was Jo!

And man! Did we have some yummy food in 2 hours!

Great way to start!
These Korean hotdogs were FABULOUS from Smile Chicken
Savory and then sweet from Crust Bakery
Street tacos from La Taquisa
Ohhhhhh …. Chocolat & Co
And to finish it all off …. Bon Macaron

By the time we got back to our room, WE WERE COOKED. We scored over 17,000 steps each! For me, THAT IS A LOT. I put my head down, and I was GONE. Which is OK because no dinner was needed after the walking food tour.

And what a day it was. Everyday has been a spectacular adventure with my Beautiful Lady Diana. Definitely one for the Memory Book. Love you Diana.
