The Royal Princess

Saturday and Sunday, Aug 10 & 11

Oh …. Cruising.  Gotta love it.

What day is this?  Wait …. Only day 2.  It all just blurs together ….

We spent the first day getting acquainted with the ship and unpacking of course.

Our cabin. Caribe Deck 10 room 734

It was PERFECT weather in Vancouver, so we could really enjoy.

First night dinner:   room service on our balcony

We hooked up the the Makes family in the evening.  So nice to see Lynda & Pete and Joanne & Mike again.

Oh yes, they love their espresso martinis!

Pete is my favorite bartender, and I love to invite him to choose my cocktails.  And he is right EVERY TIME!!  Got back to our cabin around midnight and slept like babies.

Ivonne was concerned about being too cold on this trip, but she agreed to sleep with our balcony door cracked. It was GLORIOUS to hear the wake and feel the rumbling of the ship all night, and she wasn’t cold!  If we had not asked for breakfast to be delivered at 7am, we would have kept sleeping!

Woke up to this …. 57⁰

The 2nd day was at Sea and we just followed our nose around the ship.  That is until our 12:00 noon wine tasting event that Ivonne and I attended.

The food pairings were delish

We definitely needed lunch after that event so went up to the Horizon buffet.  The food is pretty darn good on this ship.

We found the perfect place to hook up again and have time to talk.
Yes, my seeeeester, Lynda will join The Club at the end of August

Had a lovely family meal together on Sunday night.  L&P’s friends, Jim and Kim, are also on this trip, so it was a good day to meet them.

Ivonne went with the surf and turf!
The whole gang

We had just one more after dinner drinks at our aft bar, but it was starting to get a little chilly …

Look at that sunset!

Ivonne and I decided to wrap up the day with a little dancing.  Her favorite song!!!

Wild woman!

Oh!  And I almost forgot.  I checked out the casino today and actually ended up hitting a $90 jackpot! Of course I had put money in, so at this point I’m $28 ahead.  Not bad!  Scary part, though …. You don’t even need cash.  You just charge it all to your cabin.

We’re looking forward to getting to our first stop tomorrow …. Ketchikan.
