Nice and Cannes on Friday

Blessed with another beautiful weather day!

Did a tender here … I much prefer docking

We took an hour bus ride east to Nice (Neese).  What a lovely city, especially with the yachts and expansive beach.

Today marks the anniversary of Victory in Europe when Nazi Germany surrendered …. May 8, 1945
We had perfect timing to see this

As if that wasn’t enough …. now a tour through Cannes

Oh, the yachts!  I love walking the marina
Cannes Film Festival starts this month.  Tons of setup going on

It was crowded, but not as bad as it will be in a few weeks.

JOE!  I sat next to Butch and Pat on the tender.  He was on The Saratoga in 1963-1967!  So crazy because I KNEW he would say that when I asked him!
Its a tough life ….

Had dinner at The Red Ginger, one of their specialty restaurants.  My favorite meal!

I tried to eat these with chopsticks …. no way.  And I even asked for the EASY sticks!

Loved my apple glazed cake and ice cream

We enjoyed another show after dinner and some dancing. 

The life of a cruiser.  I realize now that I could not do this as a lifestyle.  Feeling fat!

    Ahh You met a fellow Squid, lol. Wow that food looks amazing, not that I would know what it was. Im sure it was tasty. A bit behind on these. Great time for sure.
