Saint-Tropez, France

On our 5th cruise day, we anchored off the coast of Saint-Tropez, which has been described as “an iconic, exclusive spot for high-end fashion, luxurious beach clubs, and a vibrant nightlife.”

Sounds like an appropriate place for Lynda and me, so we decided to make today our 72 Chicks Celebration.

Look at the yachts behind them!  Excellent place to watch people, i.e. mostly tourists.
4 drinks and 3 appetizers cost $238 at Chez Sénéquier
But don’t we look like we could have been locals?

When on a trip like this, one really doesn’t have enough time to REALLY explore. So we never made it to one of those chic beaches or super fancy places. But we did find a market in one of the squares so we did a little cheap shopping.  Every place else was all designer.

A small part of the harbor

The place below was just a taste of the high end chic.

It was EXTREMELY subdued there …. unlike where we were.

We came back to the ship and had a cocktail in Martinis, the bar off of the casino.

See those canapes on our napkin?  We only got them because they were a MISTAKE.
“Everything always works out for me”.  In reality, the crew screwed up
I ate so many canapes (they kept bringing them!) so I had TWO salads for dinner in The Grand Ballroom

And then Pete surprised us by telling the crew it was our birthdays.

All in all, it was a good day.

Tomorrow we start our 3rd country …. Italy.  Honestly, I’m getting a little weary and confused as to where we are!

  1. I felt this confusion all the time, waking up in the morning looking thru the window… Where are we?
I always thought Italy, but it was France… Anyway, we made it home and now I know for a fact I’m in Portland Oregon, no questions asked 🙂
