Here we go again on two flights this time …. from Rotorua to Christchurch (2 hours) and then 40 minutes to Queenstown. Somehow, no one on this trip grasped how many flights this tour would entail! But the good thing about all this air travel …. it gives me time to keep up with my blog! Even though I think I have screwed up the dates ….
Queenstown is in the southwest of the south island and where Dennis and I bungy jumped 9 years ago. I am so grateful we did it then as I’m not so sure I would do it now. Link below if you want to see our jump ….
We had a quick layover in Christchurch and had a glass with our new friends, Carol and Mike

It was a GORGEOUS flight into Queenstown. This is my favorite spot in all of New Zealand

We landed and WOW. To me, this looked like aliens had landed right over The Remarkables!

We got checked into our Novotel (queen beds again!) and set off to find a QUIET dinner.

We were so blessed to find this perfect water-side table at The Public Kitchen to watch the light slide up the mountain.

Then we were off to a QUIET dinner at Finz, right next door ….

One of the best meals of the trip. Certainly the quietest …
We strolled after to hook up with Mike and Carol to go dancing, but I wanted to hang onto my peace. I left Ivonne with our friends, and I came back to the hotel to quietly sit by a fire with a nightcap.

Maybe I’m just getting old, or was feeling the Full Pink Moon tonight. All I know is that I Am Quite Content.

Everybody gets to do what they want to do. Ivonne is a great travel partner.

Love the art on the plane! This hills look very “Southwestern”!
What a beautiful place!! I want that same dinner you are having!!!
A perfect travel partner is the best!
I Love You!🖖🏼🌈❤️

Those mountains are called The Remarkables. And they are. I had seafood pasta with homemade noodles. 😋

Makes me so happy to see Dennis so vibrant, smiling. Having said that, even with Mr. Big Hands holding me up I would NEVER Bungie jump, ever… LOL
Queenstown looks pretty, alot like British Columbia, eh?
Enjoying your trip from my couch…

Ohhh, I had forgotten that is where you bungy jumped! I still cannot believe you did that. That is a hard pass for me! And Queenstown – GORGEOUS! Can totally understand why you would want to PAUSE and breathe it all in, on a Full Moon in Libra no less. AHHHHHH. XO

We were going to paraglide on the VERY last morning but we had TOO MUCH FUN the previous night. But we can paraglide anywhere, right?
